hair chalking

So recently i found this latest trend in hair coloring.
I always go on youtube and watch some hair/nail/makeup etc tutorials.
and I was watching this one video about hair dying and
i saw on the sidebar videos of
Hair Chalking.
Ive never heard of it before,so I was curious.
and I watched, and I was so amazed LOL
So,hair chaling is basically coloring your hair with chalks.
and by chalks, not those sidewalk chalks, but pastels, soft pastels to be exact.
Soft pastels are my favourite, and I just happened to have a set of
pastels from my university days :D
So I decided to try it,because I already have the pastels, and it worked!
There are different colors showing im my hair LOL
Ive tried green, yellow, turqouise but the color were not so visible,
maybe I did it wrong,
but as for the color red,it turned out really nice!
Keep in mind,by doing this your hair will become rough.
But the color only last for a short time,it will wash off when you wash your hair.
If you have dark hair,it will wash in one wash.
and as for lighter hair,I heard it will take one to two washes for it to disappear.
So I did my bangs red and I really loved it,I took some photos and posted it
on my facebook and twitter, and I was so amused at how many
commented on my hair L M F A O
It turned out something like this
It looks alright for a very cheap method of temporary coloring your hair right? XD
First of all you need to have soft pastels of course, you can get those at any crafts store, comb, tshirt you dont care about to wear because it will stain, hair dryer,
flat iron/curler,spray bottle with water in it/or just put some water in a bowl.
To do this you need to do small strips of hair one at a time.
Spray your hair with water, not soaking wet, just get it damped,
and you can either twist your hair or just let it be straight like that,
and start coloring!its that simple.
Please make sure that your hair is wet,you can wet the pastels too if you want,
to make the color transfer to your hair easier.
You can twist your hair, because it creates a friction and makes the color transferring easier.
Color in a downwards motion so that you wont damage your hair by coloring it up and down.
This method is great if you want a temporary dip-dyed hair :D
Most people used this method will only color the tips,
because its easier to color if its on the tip of your hair :D
After your satisfied with the colors, you can dry your hair with
a hair dryer (optional) or just flat iron it or curl it.
The heat from these heating tools with keep the color in longer,
and you can spray with hair spray later if you wish.
Please be careful if you dont want to make any mess because doing this can get pretty messy!
Wear gloves of you do not want to get your hands dirty, but it will wash away easily :D
and let me remind again, the pastels will stain lol look what happened to my comb
its all red lol and my hair straightener
and please remember that you hair will stay rough for as long as you keep the color in your hair.To get rid of it make you sure you shampoo your hair thoroughly,
ALWAYS CONDITION your hair, let it air dry and apply
some leave-in conditioner after that :D
heres another photo lol this was all taken with flash on okey
yes i love to scare people with my selca -_-
LOL to those who commented on my hair,
so i guess i kinda tricked you guys trolololol!
